Arabic language experts and experts in various Islamic sciences have highlighted different angles in the interpretation and explanation of this word. In this way many meanings of Sehar have been clarified literally and spiritually.
The word Jadoo or Sahar is not only used for negative actions but sometimes for many other actions as well. People can also be likened to being very impressed by a person’s good performance in speech, writing or many other fields of arts. Such impressions are common among us on someone’s extraordinary performance that such and such a poet. He mesmerized people with his speech. There is a lot of attractiveness and attraction for people in someone’s personality. Many attractive people simply impress people with their good looks or beauty without actually doing anything. Mention of magic in the Holy Qur’an and Hadiths of the Prophet:

Types of Magic:
On the subject of magic, the imams of the world of Islam, various scholars and eminent philosophers have guided the people and properties. Allama Raghib Isfahani has given four types of magic. Isfahani’s research was quoted by Hafiz Ibn Hajar in Bukhari Sharif’s Sharh Fateh al-Bari. Razi mentioned eight types of magic. Ibn Khaldun has written many types of magic in his Kitab al-Muqadamah.

Effects of Magic on Man:
The study of books, traditions from ancient times, knowledge of personal incidents of people in different eras and other observations show that the effects of magic on a person or a place can be different in different ways.Damage to health or loss of life:

Stagnation of the mind, frequent hallucinations and delusions, nightmares, intensity of negative thoughts about holy persons, disorder of faith, intense panic without any reason, heart attack etc.

Can someone be harmed by magic?
This is a very important point and there are different opinions regarding this. Ibn Qudama, a well-known religious scholar, writes that magic is a reality. Some spells can kill a person. Some spells make a man sick, some spells make a husband and wife unable to have intercourse, and some spells separate husband and wife.
